SwedishAmerican Health Foundation unveils new name, refreshed brand and continued commitment to supporting UW Health in northern Illinois

Foundation to Host Ribbon Cutting with Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce, May 16

ROCKFORD, IL – SwedishAmerican Health Foundation (SAHF) is excited to announce its new name, the launch of its refreshed brand identity, cutting-edge website and its renewed focus on supporting remarkable health care at UW Health in northern Illinois.

To celebrate, SAHF is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, May 16 at 12:00 p.m. at the Foundation office, 1415 E. State St., Suite 100, Rockford. With this transformation, SAHF is poised to make an even greater impact on patient care through innovative fundraising efforts.

As SAHF directly supports initiatives at UW Health in the Rockford region, the Foundation has launched a new brand to align more fully with its new name and role in inspiring the community to support remarkable health care in northern Illinois. The new brand honors the legacy of the Foundation and reflects SAHF’s vision for the future and its continued commitment to innovation, quality, safety and excellence in health care.

“As the philanthropic pillar of UW Health in northern Illinois, SAHF’s new brand honors the legacy of SwedishAmerican and the innovation of UW Health. We believe it captures the essence of our vision to support remarkable health care and shape a healthier future for our region,” said SwedishAmerican Health Foundation Executive Director Barb Aaby. “Our commitment to advancing health care remains steadfast, and this rebranding signifies a new chapter in our journey. We are committed to raising dollars that stay local to fund the facilities, services and investment necessary to save lives and deliver remarkable health care, close to home.”

Accompanying the new brand is the launch of SwedishAmerican Health Foundation’s new website – swedishamericanhealthfoundation.org. The website offers a user-friendly interface, engaging content and updated features to provide donors and visitors with a comprehensive view of the Foundation’s initiatives and impact. It serves as a hub of information, news and opportunities for the community to support the Foundation and get involved.

“SAHF inspires and connects local donors, throughout northern Illinois, to projects and initiatives crucial to our region’s health and vitality,” said SwedishAmerican Health Foundation Board President Michael Broski. Every dollar donated to SAHF stays here and is strategically invested in world-class facilities, leading-edge technology, innovative services and personalized, remarkable care at UW Health in the Northern Illinois/Rockford region. I am privileged to be part of an organization that champions remarkable health care and provides vital support to make a positive impact on the well-being of our community by ensuring access to quality, safe, affordable care is available all day, every day, for everyone.”

SAHF Executive Director Barb Aaby, SAHF Board President Michael Broski, UW Health Northern Illinois CEO Travis Andersen, among other Leadership and Board members, and City of Rockford and Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce representatives will be in attendance.
